Dr. Lee Frelich of the University of Minnesota gave a program to Edina Garden Council members and guests on March 17, 2022, with his latest research on Jumping Worms in Minnesota. ​

Jumping Worms are a new invasive species in Minnesota, with many ramifications for our native plants, and environments. 

Dr. Frelich has an ongoing research project at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum which tests many different strategies for the control of invasive Jumping Worms (Amynthas spp.). Dr. Frelich is the Director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Forest Ecology​
